Join Me Live: 3 Keys to Retiring with Confidence
A free webinar on Sunday, October 18th @ 2 pm Eastern, plus a BOOK GIVEAWAY!
🟢 Most people plan carefully for the financial side of retirement. Very few plan for everything else.
What their days will actually look like. Who they’ll be when they’re no longer their title. What will give them a sense of purpose and contribution when work ends.
Here’s what I keep hearing from people who have recently retired: the first stretch feels like a long exhale. They don’t have any deadlines. There is no inbox overflowing with emails. Finally, they have the freedom they have been waiting for. But after that honeymoon period ends (and it always does!), something shifts. The to-do list is finally complete, their trips are taken, family is visited… and then a quiet question creeps in:
Is this it?
For those who haven’t put real thought into what comes next, that question can be challenging. It can lead to boredom, a feeling of aimless drifting and a sense that nobody needs them anymore. Some people even experience depression. And it makes sense, because so much of our identity today is tied up in the structure and the role we are currently getting paid for. When all of that disappears overnight, it can be disorienting even for the most accomplished people.
That is exactly what this free webinar is about!
🧭 3 Keys to Retiring with Confidence
Sunday October 18th at 2 pm Eastern
Free to attend — register below
This is a practical hour-long introduction to the core framework in my book Designing Your Second Act, which releases November 4th through Routledge Productivity Press.
I’ll introduce three keys and will walk you through examples and a brief exercise so you will leave with something practical in hand.
Key 1: Know Your Current State
Most of us can tell you the size of our retirement nest egg. Very few of us can honestly say who we’ll be on the Monday after we stop working. Using the Life Design Purpose Wheel and other tools from the book, we’ll look at where you are across six dimensions of a fulfilling life, not just the financial one. You cannot design where you’re going until you’re honest about where you are now.
Key 2: Design Your Future State
The difference between drifting into this chapter and designing it on purpose. We’ll use a simple exercise that helps you get specific about what you actually want in this next chapter.
Key 3: Bridge the Gap
This is the how. The small, low-risk experiments that get you from where you are to where you want to be. This is the practical part that takes you from dreaming to making it happen.
🌱 A little extra for joining live
Pre-orders for Designing Your Second Act open October 14th, and I’ll be sharing an exclusive 20% discount code with everyone who attends.
I’ll also be doing a live draw to give away two of the very first copies of the book.
💡 Who this is for
This session is for you if retirement is somewhere on the horizon and you want to start thinking about it now rather than figuring it out after the fact. It’s also for you if you’ve already retired and that honeymoon feeling has faded a little faster than you expected.
Either way, you are in the right room.
✍️ Save your seat:
If you know someone who would benefit from this session, I’d be so grateful if you’d share it with them. 🌱
Tammy Martins is the author of Designing Your Second Act, forthcoming from Routledge Productivity Press on November 4th 2026. Pre-orders open October 14th.
